Fluent in Tall Poppy Syndrome

See, what's so interesting about the Brits is that they sort of speak in tall poppy syndrome vernacular, don't they? Yeah?
Place the phrase "sort of" in front of any sort of multisyllabic phrase: takes the edge off it, doesn't it, yeah?
Don't want to be sort of perceived as being too big for your boots, right?
And then they turn any sort of statement into a question, right at the very end of the sentence, don't they? Ensuring everyone boards the train of thought before leaving platform nine and three-quarters, right? Sort of demonstrating what I'm saying by saying it, right? A bit meta, isn't it?
